Yahoo news leads with this huge story that some Russian Rocket Scientist, Anatoly Perminov, is telling everyone that a 270-foot asteroid is going to collide with the Earth.

“Without mentioning NASA conclusions, Perminov said that he heard from a scientist that Apophis is getting closer and may hit the planet. ‘I don’t remember exactly, but it seems to me it could hit the Earth by 2032,’ Perminov said.”

Also in the article in question, in the very paragraph above the previous one, Astronomers from NASA are quoted as saying “‘It wasn’t anything to worry about before. Now it’s even less so,’ said Steve Chesley, an astronomer with the Near Earth Object Program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.”

Wow… thats responsible journalism. 

Scan down a few more paragraphs and you get, “People’s lives are at stake. We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people,’ Perminov said.”

Wow.. this guy is pretty dedicated to saving the Earth and peoples lives.  What a humanitarian!  Hmmm.. I wonder who Anatoly Perminov is to have such influence to have governments spend so much on a program to prevent a disaster that has a less chance of happening than the Earth ending in 2012? 

Whoa.. reading the rest of the article it never mentions who Anatoly Perminov is.  Thats odd…  A man asking world governments to spend “several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow to prevent a collision“?  Wait…  I’ll check my ever faithful Wikipedia… Click… Click… Click, Click, Click… OMG.. NO WAY! I never would have guessed…

Need I say more…?

 Hmmm… Last I checked the charges weren’t that they spent money wrongly.. it’s that they get money at all.. to register people who don’t exist or that couldn’t vote where they got registered by ACORN.  In the whole report nothing was said to the effect that ACORN didn’t register people illegally.. it’s that the people they illegally registered didn’t vote… Good I hope Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck didn’t actually vote.  Then I’d be worried.  They get federal funding to “register people to vote”. 

Thats what they did.. but the people they registered to vote can’t vote, like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, but what it can do is sway public opinion when in their candidate when the numbers of “registered voters” supporting the other guy gets higher than theirs.  Thats when people say.. well my guy isn’t going to win, so I’ll just vote for the black guy so I can say I was on the winning side.  The reason they got stripped of funding is because the government was paying them to do this. 

And then the report says the congress voting to strip them of funding is unconstitutional because no law can target one group or individual… Well then I guess all the bills giving them the money in the first place are unconstitutional and they should have to pay it back. 

These people are experts at twisting the truth… read between the lines people.
